Okay! Everyone close your eyes and think back on being a child at the fair - the sounds of laughter, animals, and rides. Games making ringing sounds, cheering you on as you win that stuffed teddy bear you wanted so badly. And the smell of ALL THAT FOOD! These homemade corn dogs brought me right back to those fun times and not just because my house now literally smells like food row at the carnival.
These corn dogs are easy to make and crazy delicious - something the whole family will love. According to the original recipe, they were able to make twelve corn dogs out of the batter, whereas I was only able to make six. This could be affected by the hot dogs you buy, so start with making six and go from there. One thing I would like to remind everyone about is that hot oil can be very dangerous. So please use caution and tongs while frying your corn dogs. Using a deeper pot will keep the oil from jumping up over the edge. I used an eight-quart dutch oven. I truly hope this dish brings you back to the joys of going to the fair! Leave me your thoughts and pictures in the comments! Sending you all a little Faith, Trust, and Pixie Dust! I don't know about you all, but I miss going out for happy hour with my friends. Grabbing a nice cocktail and just catching up on everyone's life! Well, it seems we've all decided that happy hour should still happen - just virtually! I first had this delicious cocktail at Friendsgiving this past year. It's the perfect way to have a taste of fall all year long. You can use your preferred brand of liquor, but I would LOVE to recommend Black Raspberry Bramble Berry-Hibiscus Vodka from Cardinal Spirits - located in Bloomington, IN. "Bramble is made with loads of black raspberries, one of the few fruits native to Indiana. We add a handful of dried hibiscus to add tartness and a beautiful red hue. Then it's balanced out with a touch of agave nectar to provide just the right amount of sweetness." - Cardinal Spirits
(https://www.cardinalspirits.com/bramble) I hope you love this cocktail as much as my friends and I do. A quick shout out to Sharon Zimmer and Joshua Stafford for providing the original recipe! Please remember to drink responsibly. Leave me your thoughts and pictures in the comments! Sending you all a little Faith, Trust, and Pixie Dust! Katie, xoxo I hate to admit it, but I did a thing. I bulk bought during the early days of the pandemic! This now means I am home with WAY too many cans of tuna. So, I did what we all do in this situation and went on a deep dive into Pinterest. That's when I stumbled upon this delicious recipe! My version of the recipe has some changes from the original, but I've posted the link to the recipe I found at the bottom.
The smaller cans of condensed soup can be tricky to get all the contents out, so one thing I do is pour my milk into it, swirl it around, and then pour it into the mixing bowl! I hope you all enjoy this deliciously easy casserole! Leave me your thoughts and pictures in the comments! Sending you all a little Faith, Trust, and Pixie Dust! Katie, xoxo *original recipe found at: https://www.tasteofhome.com/recipes/creamy-tuna-noodle-casserole/ Growing up, my mom always made this simple and delicious recipe for almost every holiday! It is not crazy or over the top, it is quaint and hits the spot every time. I wanted to share a few tips with you on how to make this easy and delicious.
The best way to make easy-to-peel hard-boiled eggs:
The filling for this dish is really all about preference! I like a balance of mustard and mayo, but if you prefer more of one thing then the other - just simply shift the amount of each ingredient. It is also okay for the filling to be a little lumpy. If you would like to create the design in the picture - take a piping bag with a 1M Wilton piping head and place filling inside. Pipe the filling into each egg half till full. If you would like to add a kick to your deviled eggs you can add a splash of hot sauce into your filling mixture and sprinkle some paprika on the top of your filled egg! Parents - want to add a little literary and educational fun with this dish? Have your kids help you make this dish and place 3 to 4 drops of green food coloring into the filling when mixing it together. While eating, whip out Dr. Seuss's Green Eggs and Ham. There is nothing more fun than eating a delicious dish you always read about! I hope you find this dish simply delicious. Leave me your thoughts and pictures in the comments! Sending you all a little Faith, Trust, and Pixie Dust! Katie, xoxo I don't know about you, but I LOVE macaroni and cheese. I will eat literally any kind that is put in front of me without hesitation. My favorite kind though is homemade baked mac and cheese!
This recipe is a fun way to elevate a boxed macaroni and cheese. It is delicious and better yet - CHEAP. You can get a box of macaroni from any grocery store for about .99 cents! With this recipe, you can use any shredded cheese you would like. I used Meijer Shredded Colby Jack. I promise you every family member will love it. The best part, it tastes amazing the next day. I wanted to share a quick tip for eating it as a leftover. Break up the amount you would like and place it into a microwavable bowl and pour a splash of milk on it. Microwave on high for one minute, stir, and cook for 3 more minutes! I hope you all enjoy this ooey-gooey mac and cheese. Leave me your thoughts and pictures in the comments! Sending you all a little Faith, Trust, and Pixie Dust! Katie, xoxo It's Friday! We did it! Another crazy week of quarantine is in the books, so let's celebrate with a drink! This bourbon drink is quite strong, but it is delicious. Now you can use any brand of the ingredients you would like, especially your favorite bourbon, but I thought I would share what I used. Everything I used, except the bourbon, I bought at Meijer Groceries.
I hope you all enjoy this delicious and absolutely worth it cocktail. Please remember to drink responsibly! Leave me your thoughts and pictures in the comments! Sending you all a little Faith, Trust, and Pixie Dust! Katie, xoxo We've all had it, that 10 PM cookie crave! So we crawl out of our blanket cocoon and stumble into the kitchen praying we have what we need to make cookies. I went to do this the other night and low and behold, I was out of few things - thanks quarantine 2020. While staring aimlessly into the cupboard, I remembered a recipe my friend and I use to make as little kids, and thanks to the gallon size jar of peanut butter we have, my cookie craving was satisfied!
This recipe can be rather sticky, so I suggest taking a cooking spray and giving your hands a little squirt. This will keep the dough from sticking to you and allow you to easily shape the cookies. Now I must warn you, this is the MOST peanut buttery peanut butter cookie you will ever taste. So if that's not something you love, I suggest breaking it up with some chocolate. Instead of creating a fork design, press the cookie down with your thumb, creating a mini crater in the cookie. Allow the cookie to bake for about 5 minutes, then place a heresy's kiss in the hole and bake for the remaining time. So grab the peanut butter jar and get baking! Leave me your thoughts and pictures in the comments! Sending you all a little Faith, Trust, and Pixie Dust! Katie, xoxo Let me tell you, this was one of the BEST pasta recipes I've ever tasted. My husband could not stop talking about how delicious it was! When making this dish, I used angel hair pasta, but you can absolutely use any kind of pasta with this dish!
Are you not huge on fish? No Worries! You can easily substitute the fish for chicken or zucchini & squash if you are vegetarian! If substituting with chicken:
I hope you all love this delicious recipe as much as we did! Leave me your thoughts and pictures in the comments! Sending you all a little Faith, Trust, and Pixie Dust! Katie, xoxo *original recipe found at: https://www.masalaherb.com/salmon-pasta/ These cream cheese pumpkin rolls are a win with the whole family. When I made them the first time, I thought it would be a fun one time treat for Thanksgiving. Little did I know, they would become a Thanksgiving tradition!
A few tips for you!
I hope you all have a blast making this recipe. It's a long process, but its absolutely worth it! Leave me some pictures in the comments below! Sending you all a little Faith, Trust, and Pixie Dust! Katie, xoxo *original recipe found at: https://cookingtv-channel.com/cream-cheese-stuffed-pumpkin-dinner-rolls/ I absolutely LOVE this recipe! Its fun, delicious, something the whole family can do together, and not to mention it's just ADORABLE! The best part is you can make your bunny bum look any way you would like. If you do not like coconut, I suggest white chocolate flakes keep the fuzzy look. Take a bar of your favorite white chocolate and use a lemon zester or cheese grater to shave off some pieces to use! Do you want to make it even more colorful?! Try using multi-colored M&Ms on the feet! I hope you all have as much fun making this dish as I did. I would love to see some of your results in the comments!
